Rain-Screen Pressure Equalization & Multi-Gasket Interlocks
Water leakage is the single greatest cause of facade failure in coastal and high-wind environments. Advanced Unitized Glass Curtain Wall designs utilize the Pressure Equalization Principle. The joint cavity between male and female split mullions is engineered with continuous EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) gasket lines, dividing the frame into an unsealed outer rain-screen zone and an airtight inner pressure chamber. Equalizing air pressure prevents wind-driven rain from passing through seal gaps.
Thermal Break Polyamide Barriers & High-Efficiency Insulating Glass
To prevent thermal bridging across conductive aluminum frames, Doorreme integrates high-grade PA66 GF25 (25% glass-fiber reinforced polyamide) thermal break strips. Combined with double or triple insulated glass units (IGUs) featuring low-emissivity coatings (Double-Silver / Triple-Silver Low-E), argon gas filling, and warm-edge composite spacers, our unitized systems achieve overall U-factors as low as 0.9 W/(m²·K), meeting net-zero building energy targets worldwide.
Seismic Interlocking Joints & Building Movement Accommodation
High-rise structures experience continuous dynamic movement caused by thermal expansion, wind sway, and seismic shear forces. Unitized panels are hung via three-dimensional adjustable cast-in anchor brackets, allowing independent movement in horizontal (±25mm), vertical (±15mm), and inter-story displacement directions without stressing the structural glass or compromising seal integrity.
